  • About the Opportunity:

    The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in driving our mission by overseeing all aspects of operations. They will ensure products are produced cost-effectively while maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing labor, minimizing overhead, and reducing resource costs.     Key Responsibilities:

    Operational Leadership

    • Oversee the entire manufacturing process, ensuring efficient, cost-effective production.

    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance productivity, safety, and quality.

    • Ensure standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance are met.

    Strategic Planning and Growth

    • Devise strategies to drive operational growth, including process improvements that maximize output and minimize costs.

    • Collaborate with the executive team to create long-term plans for superior productivity and operational profitability.

    • Recommend investments in new equipment and process improvements with clear return on investment to support sustainability.

    Team Development

    • Manage and develop the production team, ensuring employees are well-trained and equipped for success.

    • Hire, train, and appraise staff effectively while fostering a culture aligned with our values.

    • Build and maintain relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors.

    Efficiency and Innovation

    • Monitor and report on operating costs; address cost and labor overruns proactively.

    • Implement innovative solutions to streamline operations and enhance productivity.

    • Oversee the maintenance of equipment, ensuring schedules are followed to minimize downtime.

    Customer and Stakeholder Alignment

    • Ensure customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

    • Communicate progress and challenges transparently with stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of experience leading operations in a molded-fiber production facility or similar manufacturing environment.

    • Extensive knowledge of industrial equipment, including pumps, vacuums, pulpers, refiners, robotics, and automation.

    • Proficiency in industrial electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic systems.

    • Strong understanding of data analysis, performance metrics, and business management software.

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    • Proven ability to build constructive working relationships and exhibit professionalism.
